According to SeaIntel, container liner punctuality remained low in the second quarter of this year, albeit better than in the first quarter.
According to SeaIntel, the global average liner punctuality rate fell by 2.7 percentage points compared to the same period last year. A survey by the shipping industry network found that the global liner punctuality rate was 74.6% in the second quarter of 2017, down 10.4 percentage points year-on-year, which SeaIntel said was the worst in many years.
Of the top 14 liner companies, 13 saw a slight improvement in their punctuality, with only 10, 000 sea lines declining 2.6 percentage points to 78 per cent. Nevertheless, wanhai is still the most reliable liner, ranking at the top of the clearance rate, followed by APL, evergreen and maersk, with 77.7%, 77.5% and 77.3%, respectively.
From the perspective of the three liner alliances, the ocean alliance performed the best, with the punctuality rate as high as 81.7%. The 2M alliance is 75%; The Alliance is significantly behind, at 66.2 per cent.

In addition, in terms of sub-routes, the accuracy rate of asian-european routes increased by 6.2 percentage points to 83.6%, and that of asia-mediterranean routes increased by 3.4 percentage points to 77.9%.
In terms of the trans-pacific routes, both the western and eastern routes of the United States showed a decline of a certain degree, with 70.7% and 66.6%, respectively.
The transatlantic west - bound route had a clearance rate of 65.4 per cent, a decline of 3.3 per cent, and east - bound traffic fell by 1 per cent to 67.3 per cent.
